Hi There,

I was reading a previous thread and see that a number of people seem to have fitted Hella 90mm Bi-Xenon lamps to improve the T cars.

Has anyone got any images of this conversion and perhaps details of anyone in the UK that did the conversion for them?

I was looking at the new Jeep LED upgrade that was done to a Tamora, but perhaps the Hella conversion looks better?

The Hella Units are 90mm in diameter, you can't use them as a replacement for your 7" lights on a Tamora.
They are a direct replacement for the 90mm lamps used in the Tuscan/T350/Sagaris.

....and, as far as I know, I'm the only one at the moment who uses these Hella Bi Xenon Units. The others I know uses only HID-Bulbs as a replacement for the H7 Bulbs. But I'm not sure on this.

I'm confused too?

The T cars use two H7 single filament blubs each side and the Tamora uses a single 7 inch H4 conventional reflector each side..

I would say it would be a major modification to fit the Hella projector lamp to a Tamora?

The Jeep conversion is a 7 inch conversion, which if it wasn't so darned expensive, would be a no-brainer!

I wish SP were still around, I'd have their headlight conversion (although IIRC it was around the £1k mark). The lights could certainly do with improving.

Ian I run 6k on my tamora for me anything above that's has a blue look all well and good if you are in to chav motoring. The 6ks are crystal white apart from on start up where they are blue but are white within 30s.

Go for a 55w HID bulb as a pose to 35w which I have on my Tamora which are night and day and 300% brighter over standard 55w halogens... the 55w HID. Are 400% brighter. The 55w have only been around a short time

Hi Buzz, For Clarity biggrin (sorry) are yours the H4 Hi-Lo ?? What headlight "flash" function do you have or is it quite a delay before the HID triggers on main beam??? Finally, have you seen any interference with the dash and the HIDs ??

Hi Trevor

There is no flash delay on the H4 it's instant and bright I've had no issue with the dash lights or any interference
What soever. But I believe quite a few people have. I guess the electronics dept were having a good day when the put together my wiring loom etc!

The lights are used most of the time I'm in the car so they have been used a lot in the 2.5 years I've owned the Tamora.

Hmmm curious my 6k's on the Tamora (Chinese crap)and company car are crystal white with only a faint blue luster as the ballasts power the bulbs up and after been checked for colour blindness it appears my eye site is fine so yes they are white! Agreed the the 6500-8k are blue 8k+ are purple/blue I'll post a pick later in the week to show my blue sorry white lights wink
