I'm thinking of changing headlights tot 7". Will they fit in the original pods? Think I have to grind out the hole to fit the bigger mounting ring. But is there enough room?

shape of the cone is all wrong. need a different tapering angle all the way back, so new pods needed.

OK, so that's a no go. Thanks for your reaction.

It has been done but as Steve says it's easier to get the converted pods from Sportmotive. I have them on my Griffith and they're excellent. Apart from now being able to actually see at night now they make the front end look much more balanced and 'strong' in my eyes.

They do look good and it's interesting to hear they provide a stronger beam. Might get this done to mine in the spring as I fancy having the front and mirrors sprayed.

Not normally a fan of headlight conversions but the Sportmotive Hella H4 7" lamps area a massive improvement over the original candles without altering the look of the car too much. If anything it looks better as the old units do look a bit 'lost' in the original pods.

This is definitely on my to do list.

Has been on mine for years too. just need to actually start the car once in a while first, let alone drive it at night!!

Presumably you can get the pods and have anyone fit them? As I will probably get Racing Green to do the work.

Yes mine were supplied by Sportmotive and fitted by Surface & Design in Blackpool
