How many different engine configurations have you owned?
Discussion
I'm soon to be selling my Audi S6 as I fancy getting into an e36 328i for a while and it got me thinking about how many different engines I've owned and the ones I still want to own.
Have owned (I'm 25 so not a massive list)
How about you? For the purpose of this N/A and forced induction can be classed as different configurations.

- Inline 4
- Inline 4 turbo
- Inline 5 turbo
- V6
- V8
- soon to add N/A strait 6

Didn't we just do this last week?
We Did cylinders/power/TQ currently on your drive here:http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
But i'm talking about what engines people have lived with so far in their motoring life and what ones they would like to, even if they can't afford to have it parked outside right now.

Maybe being a little picky, but is an inline 4 and inline 4 turbo really a different configuration?Have owned (I'm 25 so not a massive list)

If so, does fuel (petrol/diesel) count too? Or valve train type, carb/efi?
What's up with that other link - is a place called PETROLheads??? is that a sister site or something??
Anyway,
I've had V8, V6, Inline 4, Inline 3 and Rotary! Nothing smaller. The V8s were 9 times bigger than the Inline 3 (early suzuki alto!); 583cc versus 5700cc and 5800cc.
That's an interesting question - what's the biggest difference between engines you've owned?

Single in a car? Or are we now expanding to other vehicles or motorised objects?
Oh!
Included motorbikes. The title does say engines after all
which means I forgot 2-stroke and 4-stroke as well as those tiny 1.5cc engines that used to power my control line aircraft when I was a kid.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
