Can anyone tell me the maximum fine and number of points that a person can get for speeding, before it goes to dangerous driving?

All for the purpose of research.

Max fine increases to 2,500 for speeding on a motorway.

You may well ask! I must remember to confine my principal speeding to SC roads.

Incidentally, a funny thing happened this morning on my way to the office.

Bod gets stopped for speeding on SC road in North Yorkshire. Police have a brief word with him, all very amicable like. No ticket issued, no further action at all by the look of it.

Plod claimed they'd caught him doing 90 mph.

I don't believe it was 90 actually, but good result eh? That's what you call reasonable discretion.

Any advance on NSL plus 50%?

Best wishes all,
Dave.

Well sorry guys but I've been a bit sneaky with you about this, though I couldn't resist it.

It wasn't me actually, and that's the truth, but I was present and I know pretty accurately what happened.

Best wishes all,
Dave.
