I've seen a few of these kicking around, and have to say I think they look great.
But, I've never heard anyone talk about them, never seen a review, good or bad. Nothing.

Have I missed out on something here, or is this car car just.... ignored?

No-one even wants to post a reply. Can anyone else see this car/posting, or is it all something in my mind. Like an invisible friend.

Or, is this truly the most ignored car on the planet?

You appear quite desperate to talk about this car.

I've seen it at a local motor show, but apart from that never saw an ad or anything for it.

I do agree though that it looks rather nice and would probably make a good left field cchoice.

They are beautiful looking cars, but I think they are only avaliable with a 2.4 petrol engine which is mated to a auto box. Not sure if manual or any other engine is avaliable.

The engine capacity may put people off

Lovely looking car. Car only comes in a 2.4 auto which will achieve 35mpg tops, list new is nearly £24k off the top of my head and we have never sold a new one. Ive got a brochure here if you want me to pop one in the post for you ?

Has cropped up on here before

As said, "no diesel" was the reason for never seeing one

Looks good, sounds alright on paper, but CVT box would put me off!

Couldn't care less that it's a 2.4 petrol (probably the Toyota VVT-I unit, very good). But why not a manual version?

AWD, so a great all season car for those of us who get some decent winters.

I've seen one around town. IMHO quite a good looking car for what it is. I had to look it up on the internet after seeing it.

Will make a great used buy when they get cheap, provided you can get parts.

Indeed. 2.4 petrol is too big for most people yet not powerful enough for enthusiasts. CVT gearbox also counts against it.

There's a Kia saloon that also looks good and has available diesel engines that is similarly rare as I suspect saloon buyers are more badge concious than hatchback/estate buyers.

Good looking car, although doesn't really resemble the quite outlandish original concept. Poor drivetrain spec for the UK market and a lack of 'big car' history for Suzuki don't help.

..Apologies for being a bit cheeky but if you were able to find another brochure I'd like one myself please..

Cheers

So it's a 4wd, 2.4 petrol which only comes on auto?

It's almost like Suzuki don't want to sell any in the UK?
And it looks like a Corrolla with a different front bumper.

I agree.

They should have stuck their excellent 2.7 V6 in it, along with a manual 'box.

Then I might have been interested.

Problem is it comes with no engine or transmision choice! if it had both a diesel and a manual as options I think we would se a few more of these! Very much a car designed for the yanks

Not cheap enough second hand either.

22k new, 18k 'nearly' new with plenty of depreciation still to go:

If you want a big old bland barge then something like this is better. Been for sale for months and they still cant shift it - VED cost being one factor I imagine:

I had a mooch round one when my missus had her Swift in for service. It's a very nice bit of kit. It feels very well made and has an excellent interior. As said above, it's still a Suzuki but no longer Suzuki priced so I don't see they'll shift many, especially with no diesel.

Saw plenty in Florida last time we were there. Not see a single one on the road over here.

These will be fantastic when they are down to about £5000 for a 2 year old example!

And even the Yanks didn't take to it, because of the Kizashi's third problem (besides the engine and transmission) - it falls between two size classes. Bigger than a Civic, smaller than an Accord. In fact, Suzuki pulled out of the US car market last year.

Also hindering its chances:
  • Anonymous looks
  • No advertising
  • Limited dealer network (on both sides of the pond)
  • Poor resale value
  • Audi and Subaru already have the AWD saloon market sewn up
