Hello folks, very general question here for your advice please. I need a new second hand car, something that costs about £3,000. I'd need to pay it up though about £150 per month. Is there anywhere I could do this without having to pay a deposit or pay extra interest? How would you go about it?

Credit card? Not many people will lend you money for free.

A lot of the supermarket and bank websites have loan calculators on there that let you state how much you want to borrow and how much to pay back each month; it will then tell you how much APR and the length of the payment term. If all the figures stack up, that might be the best way to do it.

Given the relatively low amount, I reckon you might be able to get a £3k loan from Tesco or the like, pay back £150 over 24 months and that's you done. That said, IANAL etc etc.

They will still charge you to transfer it though. Probably 3-4% but still a good deal.
