I need another RPG in my life, I love the Fallout and Elder Scrolls and have played all of them to death.

What else is out there that plays similarly to those games?

EDIT: I have a 360 and PC

Skyrim - unless you call that Elder Scrolls.

What else would you call it? It's an Elder Scrolls game.

Other than Fable (Which is nowhere near as serious) I'm struggling to think of one.

Nobody does it like Bethesda.

You've seriously played Fallout 3, New Vegas, Obilivion and Skyrim + all DLCs to death? Damn you must have had some time on your hands haha.

Well I call it Skyrim, I call Oblivion Oblivion and so on...... So it may have been a reference to either of them to my mind...

And Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind?

BTW - the first two are free to download from the UESP Wiki if you fancy trying them.

Someone's already mentioned fable - start with the second if you fancy it. Also try kingdoms of amalur, which is a great game.

Indeed Bethesda are the kings of western RPG's!

I've played F3, Oblivion & DLC's to death several times and New Vegas, Skyrim & DLC's to death just the once.
When I get into a good RPG ill spend a good 24 hours gaming over a weekend! (But then not touch the Xbox for a month after). I have a week off next week and want something to get stuck into!

I've gone through Daggerfall and Morrowind back in the day and have always wanted to try arena.

Never played Fable or Dragon Age but I find it very difficult to get into a game and not turn off after 30 minutes. I've tried Mass Effect several times but just can't get into it...

KOTOR is an old favourite so I could always revisit that. Same goes for Pokemon - don't laugh.

So many good ones and a few great ones...

Dragon Age (I'm replaying this again now and it's still wonderful)
Dragon Age 2 - I need to give this another go but it didn't grab me the way the first did
Mass Effect Series (Just outstanding)
Two Worlds? Seems respectable but not as good as Elder Scrolls seems to be the consensus
The Witcher / Witcher 2 - both great
Diablo 3 / Torchlight 2 type RPG
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Borderlands?
Dark Souls (I simply gave up on this one - I don't have enough patience!)

Edit - could also look at the MMO RPGs (Star Wars:TOR and The Secret World both have pretty decent F2P options. Guild Wars 2 is a pay game but free after initial purchase. All have pretty good story modes (SWTOR in particular)

And the Steam Christmas sale starts soon so you might be able to pick some up dirt cheap to try them out!

Forgot about Dark Souls - it's a totally different type of game to the ones the OP mentioned but it's just so good, everyone should try it.

I thought KoA was pretty fking naff. It was utterly characterless once you got past the decent graphics.

Assuming you've also played KotOR 2, have you considered the online MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic? The missions are all voice acted so it's quite a cinematic game to play, and if you play on a non-PVP server you don't have to interact with any other people if you don't want to.
Obviously needs to be online to play, but it's free to play.

Titan Quest

It's a bit like Diablo 3.

Going back a few years, but Baldur's Gate / Baldur's Gate 2 / Icewind Dale are a good series of AD&D RPGs.

Unfortunately this makes it a no... I'm looking for an RPG to play at work... Long story short I get paid to sit on my laptop and do whatever I want and unfortunately we don't get internet access.

I ended up buying Fallout 3 GOTY on Steam, I've played it (+ DLC's) to death on my 360 but decided to buy it AGAIN on PC for work... Waste of money to some but I'm thoroughly enjoying it again.

Just a quick bump for anybody interested in this thread...The Witcher 1 & 2 are both 80% off on Steam until Monday. Just picked up Witcher 2 for £2.99...gotta be worth a go for the price of a pint biggrin

Good call. I'll pick those up cheers.

Though not RPG's, the Sier Miers collection on Humble Bundle is awesome value. Loving Civ V at the moment!
