As i won´t go the SC route in the near future as per TUEV problems wink currently
thinking about getting a new plenum next year. Had thought about the double or twin
act or maybe the big JE version. Would be interessted in the difference to the standard
plenum.

How is throttle response compared to the standard plenum ? is there any difference ?
Any difference in sound ? Maybe sombodey has a dyno chart of before and after ?

of course engine is not stock.... 4.6 JE...Canems etc....

Cheers

Your graph shows more then the print out?

Anyhoo, 326 is good for a 4.6, about the same as mine with a single plenum.

I would say that the triple will give you more response.

As to more power, that's debatable. It wont give you less but it can give you a noisier top end as it is a carbon fibre box that does't deaden the sound of valve gear like a solid alli one does.

At the price of the triple, it's a small gain for a lot of outlay but looks good smile

I have one on my 5.5 but that's another story.

Have twin throttle plenum on my rebuilt/lightened 4.3.

Throttle response is awesome, driveability at least as good as with the OE set up, it knocks a kg or two of weight off the top of the engine which is good smile (it doesn't do a lot by itself but as part of a 'going through the car with a fine tooth comb' dyanamic package...), and it looks rather nice.

Only disadvantage as I see it is the amateurish solution for the throttle cable fitment but as Tim already said in another thread, this was what the market demanded at the time (price) and I understand a far better solution is being devised... at a price.

I cant comment on the double or triple but i went from single to TB's and that made a huge difference to the throttle response.

would love to have TBs but the price point is quite massive.
all i had seen was in the 2K region or is there any cheaper solution around ?
As for the triple with 5.5 i can understand that. had been
looking at the car for quite a while and was thinking about it wink
personally i would prefer the JE triple as the whole engine
with all the parts had been done by JE and quality wise top notch.
as far as i understand the only difference to the ACT triple is
the carbon fibre intake and that the original air feed can be used ?

i am not familiar with intake design and airfeds but if taken a
JE triple that wont support the regular airfeed pipe having a filter on
the right and an air duct in the bonnet feeding the filter directly from above
would something like this work ?

Someone said in a previous thread that JE had said that his triple wouldn't fit under the Chimaera bonnet..? Worth checking out...
