I'm type 1 diabetic and on the rare occasion that I need sugar, I'd rather have non fatty stuff.

Over processed breakfast cereal? Almost pure sugar, in fact what actually isn't sugar is such refined flour that your body treats it as such, should have you bouncing off the ceiling. Why though, why are you cutting fat out? It's THE most important food type by far.

I'm not cutting it out. By far. But the fats in chocolate can slow down the sugar intake, taking longer to bring blood sugar levels back up.
