BMW M4: Pic Of The Week

The name may be new, the cornering stance definitely isn't!

We've still got a few weeks of this year left but BMW has already got us very excited about 2014 with the M3 and M4. Lighter, faster and not much more expensive than the outgoing car, they both promise a great deal.

Most of you seem to prefer the M3 on looks so far, aside from a rather fussy behind. The saloon definitely has something about it but, crucially, there aren't any pics of it going sideways yet. That's the M4 for POTW then!

The observant among you will have noticed the M4 is slithering its way around Ascari; BMW brought a disguised car to Spain recently for the GT6 launch. Having seen it in action fleetingly, all we can add is that there is no need to worry about the turbos dulling the exhaust noise. It sounded great, making the wait to drive one all the more agonising! This will be on the desktop until then.

Why, oh why... I'm perfectly happy tootling around in my 335 and now this gets announced. I love the fact BMW have kept the weight down and along with improved performance and economy it makes for a compelling proposition... damn you BMW!

Felt a bit boring in GT6. No interior rendering and a minging choice of colours. I hope the real thing is better!

Dont think that launch colour does the M4 any favours, looks like a washed out PY.

Think the M3 looks better in part due to the colour of the car in the pics.

Oooooh, I test drove the E9x M3 and didn't like it as much as the E46. Drive an E46 as I genuinely enjoyed driving it more. I'm hoping these will be a return to form. They certainly look the part. I shall however reserve judgement until I've driven them.

Lots of people driving E46's could afford an E9x and indeed one of the latest model. If I don't like how it drives though I will be sticking with My E46's. Will the turbo's ruin it???? I hope not.

With BMW exclusive, you can have it any colour you like
Granted, it could be an extra 4-5k, but when you're spending £60k on a car, it's not a massive difference
