Missing my 'S'

Came home one evening to find my elderly neighbour had one sherry too many & ploughed his Merc through his garage door! My garage door now jammed as centre brickwork leaning to one side along with the WHOLE side of my garage. TVR stuck inside been over a month now, cant force the garage open in case the whole lot goes, unable to see if the car has been damaged as brick work has been moved inwards on a angle.....will have to wait and see!

Sorry to see, but hopefully no damage to the S, are the insurance people for your neighbour not securing the unsafe building and thereby free your car from its prison??
Looking on the optomistic side it appears that the brickwork has been only pulled across where the securing lock system on the other door, is fitted, and the wooden frame for your garage door seems to be intact. Without a specialist inspection it would be risky to do anything, but hopefully all will be well.

Ouch indeed, but looking at the photos I can't see how the door's holding up the brickwork as it has been pushed back into the garage. It has to worth a go at pulling it back slowly to see if there is any brick movement? Mind you, it's probably wrecked the runners. Good luck with whatever you do to get the released back into the wilds!!

The insurance Company are not bothered about securing the building they think it's secure however all bricks do move on the front section plus opposite wall and are angled inwards and the whole side of the opposite wall is slightly bowed/concave, just concerned about the car inside for front wing damage as parked close against the front garage and obviously what damage possible when builders work start and door is forced open as all garage door runners/frame are now deformed.

After all this hassle is over apart from placing my hands around my neighbours throat, I'm going to eat my words and get her taxed this winter and used on dry days....missed the car loads!

Well after 4 months of endless phone calls, letters and a lot of stress and worry the 'S3' got released from her prison the other day and saw light! Insurance builders eventually came and managed to get the garage door open without it collapsing or without any bricks etc falling on the car, I rolled her out, checked for any damage... all fine...little mould on the steering wheel, turned the key and to my surprise and everyone there she started on the button!!!!! Couldn't believe it, been sat for 4 months! Anyway left on tick over until properly warmed up while checking everything over. I was expecting a dead battery, horrible mould inside the interior and cracks from flat spots on the tyre walls, the bakes were rubbing a lot with surface rust but after a few short runs there fine now. Really really chuffed!.... Weather was good so roof off, surfboard in passenger seat/side and gave her a good run to North Devon for a surf, Excellent day......really missed this car!

Good news indeed, but to be honest, you really haven're missed a lot, the weather has been pretty cp for the last 3 months anyway.
Austin was beginning to think he'd been forgotten, but today has felt quite special after all the waiting for decent weather.

By the way Neil, I love the colour of your S3, what is it actually called? Looks like a cobalt blue. Very nice......

Too true the weather's been horrendous so wouldn't have been driven anyway, but so nice to now have the choice! The colour is actually Cooper Green I think the colour saturation on my phone settings is set too high hence looks a greeny/blue colour.
