Hello all,

I'm the new owner of Neil Beasleys unfinished S3C restoration project, trailered her back to Cov last weekend, nearly lost her trying to get her off the trailer (no brakes, handbrake or winch!) but we managed to stop the bid for freedom before the garage wall did the job for us.

Here she is...

Not had a chance to do much yet, apart from making up a 'to do' list which seemed to get longer every time I looked at it, and getting the handbrake working, well, when I say working I mean working a bit, at the cost of a skinned knuckle.

Quite a list still to do but Neil has done a lot of the major stuff, indeed the is car cleaner underneath than it is on top. Alas I'm no mechanic and I'm facing a bit of learning curve knowledge/skill wise, so will no doubt be tapping the well of PH knowledge when I get stuck.

I'm in sunny Coventry (others may call it something different) and would love to be able to take a look at any local S's (i.e. stand there and realise that the <<insert part here>> I fitted is upside down 'DOH !) and indeed if any locals (certain Cov areas excluded, no offence wink) want to have a look at the car and practice there 'tutting' techniques and sharp intakes of breath, no problem

Anyway, I'll get back to my lists wink

All the best

Welcome!

I live between Warwick and Stratford, so not far away. I have a '91 S3 and please come and kick tyres sometime.

My car has a cracked exhaust so is noisier than usual but could probably manage a drive round the block if that would help you:

I am laid up at the moment recovering from a really bad stomach bug but let me kmow if and when you would like to visit.

Cheers
Tony

.
I must add mine is a work in progress but these other guys have TVR in the condition to aspire to.
Plus all are green, you may feel left out or have the urge for a respray, in one of the many versions of Green.

Thanks, would be great to have a look at some other S's, meet some owners, get some advice.

Looking at the ownership map we're not exactly knee deep in cars around this neck of the woods, and mines not even a runner!

Still, planning on getting her done before the summer, (2015 that is.)

Baby driver, go look at Stonecolds S3, he kindly sent me some photos and she looks a peach and I believe she is a well known car on here. If I hadn't been looking for a project car I would have given this car very, very serious consideration.

Congratulations - I'm near Warwick so hope to see you soon. We must have one of our breakfast meets in the new year. I'll check with the fixtures secretary and propose some dates. Late January maybe ?

Tony - must be a helluva bug to upset your stomach ! Hope you feel better soon !
