So £630 PCM for a £55k car which does 300miles plus range costing £3-4 per charge
1/4 miles on you tube show c12 seconds and 110mph and from the clips I've seen it just loses to a Bi turbo E63AMG and beats a Vioer SRT.
So total monthly cost of ownership if lease is what £660pcm!!!
Lack of noise not good
Looks really good
Lots of storage
Low weight
Great performance
Tesla have nailed this one. If this is how other electric cars will go and only get better don't think petrol heads have much to worry about

Figures look quite tempting but the quality of the interior (leather, trim etc) was well behind European cars when I looked at one in the summer. I personally think it should look a bit funkier too... As a package it seems pretty good for me - although for considerably less cost I'm leasing a C63 AMG and the saving helps with the 20mpg...

I want to see one in the flesh.
Been in their Westfield showroom, and the car does look good. However, the main display screen on the inside is a complete eyesore imo - far too big, and I found it got in the way of my leg. They should have fitted either a smaller screen, or one with rounded lower edges.
Quite tempted by one if these, one of my colleagues has one being delivered in holland next week so will see, as a partner to the M6 I'd have a nice balance.
A quirky alternative to the usual mid management 5/E/XF/etc
My main concern in the UK is the charging on the go, or leaving it at the airport every week to find it flat on return!
The first electric car I've really considered, looks good too on the 20"turbines, saw one last week on the road.

Presumably VAT to go on the lease? Also what deposit? Term, mileage?Codswallop said:

That dash is so American.I saw these at the Festival of Speed this year and was deeply impressed, the photo does no justice to the actual dash, it looks like a big IPad . I wanted to hate the thing but spent half an hour looking around it. The finish seemed to be of a good quality and I actually mistook it for the new Jag. I think these thing have a few Government incentives to encourage us to buy!
I do find it quite funny when everyone talks about the "free" charging. I know someone who has just ordered one, and whilst there are govt grants to have charging points installed for free in residential properties, the wiring going to his garage isn't of a sufficient spec to run a charger. So he's looking to tap into a mains wire powering a street light, which probably needs permission from 27 million council departments, plus the fitment of a meter, looking at well over £1k.
To have a charging point installed in our office, simple installation on a rear wall close to the main fuse box and not needing any ground works, we're looking at over £3,500.
So there is well over £4,500 just for charging points, plus the electricity (more likely £8-10 per charge), not so cheap now! That's a hell of a lot of petrol...
