I am having an issue with a pollen filter. Basically the replacement filter has lees fins but more material.

Image with more fins is similar to one currently in the vehicle, has about 30 odd fins, smaller gaps etc.

Image with bigger and less fins is the replacement has 20 something or other fins.

Is this really an issue does it matter or am i over thinking and should just bung the new one in?

Why? Should order a different one then? The area the filter fits into seems to fit fine.

Really?

It'll be fine just use it.

(I really don't get this pollen filter bullst!
As soon as you got out of the car you'll be breathing non filtered air so whats the point? just another excuse to charge you £30 for a £3 paper filter )

It keeps dust out of the car and stops the evaporator blocking up.

Aye i cleaned the one currently in there, must be like 10 years old. Took a good 20 minutes, loads of crap came out. The windows now don't seem to steam anywhere near as much as it used to.

The brand of the one in there is micron air im currently trying to find a micron air branded one as that's whats used oem.

Seriously? You spent 20 mins cleaning a filter instead of just throwing a brand new one in there???
