What to buy for 10k

Hi, looking for some advice. Want to buy an "interesting car". Must be auto, be able to seat 4 at a push, pre 2006, possibly convertible and not notoriously unreliable or shocking to service. The holy grail I know!

Thoughts and suggestions?

Your budget is wrong - divide by 5 or 10 depending on how daring you are. Nice 190e - keep the change and buy something else. Or a W124 series if you want a little more space.
My 190e was superb and I regret selling. Routine costs over 10 years. The current 124 isn't too far behind. Simple mechanicals - few nasty electricals.
Or if you want to blow the budget - a nice A124 - the cabriolet. May also have change to buy a saloon to act as the daily snotter.

CLK 500, get a nice sounding exhaust. My 320 has been ultra reliable, my old ML500 was also bullet proof. Should have plenty of cash for a larger bag of coke, and more room for hookers.
