CV Fishing by RC's
Discussion
I think I'm being fished by a RC.
Was called about a role. Sounded promising, not really looking at the moment so asked for the Job Description and he didn't have one other than a half-hearted generic description of the role I do/did. He also had no details on the salary/package oh and when I mentioned this to him he talked about another potential role.
He has mentioned companies who do play in the right space but it all sounds a bit speculative to me. I'm settled in my current role and not looking except if the right position/offer came up.
Should I tell him to do one or should I say send me a proper job spec and package details.

Wtf???
Just tell him to email you the job description and the dosh. Thank him and hang up. 30-60secs job done.
You have a job. You dont need him, he needs you. ALL work is whoring, at any one moment though its just a balance of who has the power. The punter (you) who can pick and choose his piece of ass or the pro who can judge how desperate you are and therefore exploit you for as much as they can get.

There is some one on here now offering "Off Shore Work" I think they are CV Fishing, think about it there is a lot of personal info on there. I sent a email of NO CV to see there response I got a Fishing email back from a "oil company" askiong for how much I get a month in $ its all a con.
Even my own company make you apply for jobs via are own website. Very few people will give you a job because you met them on here!
Your CV could be used to try to gain assess to other things. Same with Linkedin to.

It always amazes me how many people leave their CV's on job board sites etc. That means that your info can be accessed by anybody including recruitment agents, your current employer and worst of all identity thieves.
I should find out where he 'fished' your CV from and take it down, pronto.
