Im not searching but could we have a list of potential car names and then a poll of the best names ever? The car could be the worst thing ever or not even linked to its name but just a name that sounds cool if you were telling someone what you drove.
Two of my suggestions would be the: Jenson "interceptor"
Land rover "defender"

Bongo Friendee.

I don't think I've fully got this yet. Scirocco is ok though.

Mitsubishi Pajero had a ring to it. Not so popular in Spain for some reason..

I nominate the Tang Hau Detroit Fish. On a serious note I think Facel Vega, Ferrari Daytona, Bentley Mulsane, and Range Rover are good names just for starters. Will put my thinking cap on and come up with some more.

Names only really became used after the war. Before then they were descriptive, so you had things like "12hp" Light 16, 3 litre, or names after notable race wins: TT replica, Ulster, Le Mans.

Post war they got the idea. From the bizarre (cedric??), through to things like Vantage, Interceptor, Mini,
