Was anybody else at Bedford yesterday? It was a good day and the weather was pretty much as good as it can get for a December day.

I was quite surprised how busy it was, and have never really had to queue at Bedford before, but yesterday seemed to be a lot of queuing. There didn't seem to be more than the usual amount of people in the briefing room, but just wondered if the orgnaisers ran more than you would normally see on a day like this or if anything had changed with numbers allowed out on track?

Yeah I was there, first time at Bedford for me, so no real experience of the place. The queues were almost constant I thought, couldn't get straight out on track.

Quite enjoyed the day, although the facilities surprised me, and the noise testing and whole signing on scenario was nowhere near as slick as other places.

Windy though!!!!

I was there too. Bright blue 944. Looked the usual number of folks there to me BUT with daylight chopping nearly 2 hours off a usual day I suspect many were goung out on track and staying there to get full value for what was an excellent day December day. Driving standards were very good and some nice cars there. Bedford is ALWAYS windy biggrin

Yes I was there in the yellow clio 200. No more cars than normal, but as mentioned above I think people went out for longer stints due to the early finish. Was worst just before lunch and after. All in a great day especially as the weather held out.

I was there but was grounded: 112dB static from the exhaust and 103dB from the side (by the door)! Black 964RS...now sadly gone to storage for the winter.

I have been to Bedford many many times before in my now ex 997.1GT3RS and never had any noise problem. Very surprised.

Anyways quite disappointed.

Regarding crowds, I actually think it was quite Ok. I was there with 2 novice friends, their first track day ever, and they were super happy. They said they didn't suffer at all from traffic.

I actually did have a go in one of their car, and I think it was very much reasonable, and everyone did behave super nicely. Thanks for making their 1st day out, a good one!

My standard 964 measures 95db so I guessyou've a sports exhaust? Oddly my 944 has consistently measured 87db static since I got it but read 95 db on Saturday. I wonder if their meter was reading right?

I genuinely believe their sound meter is flawed! Especially since I use to take my 997.1 GT3RS there quite a lot.

I run a Cup pipe, no more. I still have the original cats and secondary exhaust on...so nothing crazy!

When I had that exhaust combination my readings were consistently around 103 to 105 db so there is no way 112 db was right. I now have de-cat, standard primary and standard secondary and it's 100 to 102 db.

they made me rev at 4,500rpm which is at 2/3 of the max (hence the 112dB)
At 3,800rpm i was already at 103dB

note: max rpm on the 64RS is 6,720

Had a good day to, I was in my Radical giving passenger rides to some work colleagues.
Good driving standards albeit a damp morning session...

Do you have any with the yellow clio 200? A proper camera setup is top of my list to get sorted out over Christmas.

I had a great day too. I have to disagree slightly with the comments above regarding good driving, there were a couple of people who were driving poorly in my opinion.

I agree with the above comment. Great day but some of the driving out there wasn't the best I'd seen. Especially those who don't let the faster drivers by and boot it on he straights.

Funny because I didn't have to wait once for a slower car to get out of my way but thought the tail-gating was horrendous whistle
