Re mapping X5

hi Folks
I have a BMWX5 xdrive 4.0 D ...2011... And it's never come close to the manufacturers fuel economy figures so I was thinking of having it super chipped. I am a little wary as the superchip I had fitted to my previous car ...Mercedes E320D caused frequent failure of the torque convertor. Does anyone have any experience on this ?
