Hi all

I have just come into TVR ownership for the first time with the purchase of my Chimaera. I drove it 170 miles from Wiltshire back to Essex last week and it felt fine, still taking it steady while I get used to it. Was driving it about at the weekend and it has been great. Bit different to the Puma I was driving before! Will spend the next week or so figuring out what needs doing.

Cheers, I'm sure there'll be lots of questions. I was lucky enough to track down one of the previous owners who is a member on here - he has been super helpful.

Looks ace. Love the colour, very unusual. Like the original wheels ( like mine)

is it a 400/450/500?

in the dry they are pretty grippy. U have to go some to break traction. In the wet however....

slightly damp, 3rd gear, put foot down, tyres spinning.

bloody amazing cars. Welcome!

Thanks guys, yes, the colour is Ash Green. It really drew me in when i first saw it, this isn't a particularly good photo as it was taken in the morning and there's condensation resting. I'll take better ones when the suns out!

It's a 400 - i thought it'd be the best entry point. I'm in Southend, where about's are you?

There's loads of TVR owners in Sarfend. Matt Poxon on the grief forum, for one, and there are plenty more. And there's a guy who does servicing too.

I've seen a couple of TVR's about recently. A dark blue late chimaera, I saw a nice looking blue 'S' yesterday, and have seen the odd Tuscan.

Do you know if the guy who does servicing is part of P R wood?

That's right - it's PR Wood.

There's a run each year in Sarfend, organised by a guy with a Tuscan. Good way to make a few friends.

Stick a thread on the Grief forums announcing your arrival and Matt will pop up I am sure. he knows who else is around.

If there is any, it'll be light-hearted and harmless. The entire PH TVR forum is an absolute godsend for owners. It is amazing what can be learned on here - whatever problem you've got you can be sure somebody else will have a solution to it (car related that is !)

Welcome to the asylum.

That'll be me then - made me weep - spent a fortune on it and should never have sold - got tempted over to the dark side.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did - you're lucky that green ones are the fastest boxedin

Welcome aboard.

Another recent Essex (Benfleet) Chimaera owner here thumbup

Love that colour!

Mine's a March '93 4.3 in Ruby Mica. I drove it all the way back from Liverpool (and it only broke down once!).

That makes it look like it has a turned up front, just to show off the badge... and you know what ? I like it!
