An impressive video. Surprised someone authorised that to do overnight, looked like a tight squeeze on time.

They could have just hidden a microchip in a tank.

This is in the UK isn't it?

Impressive it is, however I bet it was bloody expensive to do.

Is it this one on the M56?

ETA: The M1 if the tags hold any truth.

I bet it was bloody expensive too, but only because people involved thing it should be expensive
the hiring of all the equipment was probably hired at a scandalous rate so it could be absolutely guaranteed, the planning will have all been done by people who get paid a huge amount too

where as if this was how construction projects were done regularly it would cost a fraction. The plant would be owned and just shifted around only hired in when needed, the planning could be done by people who have experience of regularly planning this sort of thing and do it full time rather than expensive consultants brought in from all areas

What was the point in putting up those signs only to tear them straight down?

Close the motorway, then put advertising signs on the bridge that no one can see, and then pull it down? confused

I feel they could have missed out a step there! biggrin

Great video, thanks.

I can't see the video due to work blocks, but I did a similar time lapse video of a bridge demolition/deck re-installation at Colchester on the A12 in about 2007. Really enjoyed it. I'll see if I can find it.

That's probably why the Highways Agency released it, it was a first for them.

Video would be better with white excavators and nutcracker music playing from 0:45 smile

Yes, I think it was the M1. This time lapse vid was on a BBC programme (One Show?) a while back.

Nope, I recognise the location, it's Junction 11 on the M1, just north of the Toddington Services
