Not sure if this says anything new...

Although it is obvious that when an insurance company passes a third party on to it's 'accident management' arm they are not doing it for their goodwill, but to maximise their return.

i actually thought insurance was coming down nicely - my insurance, for the first time ever, is below £500 Fully comp. thats with 6 points, other half who's only been driving 2 years on an astra VXR !!

roll on any further reductions smile - failing that, 2015 for my points to drop off !

I paid £366 back in Feb to insure my 2007 Focus ST. Now im getting my E46 M3 Coupe, its going to cost £396. Both are for the year & include legal protection & protected NCB etc.

I was very supprised.

Insurance dropped a lot for me in the summer and in September I insured my Clio 182 for £720 fully comp at 20, with 1 yrs ncb.

With the exact same car, details and extras through the same comparison sites etc the best quote I can now get is £1010.

I tried getting quotes for all sorts of cars and they had all increased 10-15% on average. No details had changed at all.

It seems to me as if it reached a low point and has now began to rise again slowly. Its disappointing really.

My insurance seems to be around 500 quid now regardless of what car these days. Have been recently been looking at getting another car and quotes for 535ds, 330i, 335i or the d variants all come in around the same cost.

I personally don't think that is too bad considering it'll be parked on the street in West London. 29 with no claims and no points.
