Many of the thread topics could be construed as being either boring or banal (depreciation, conjecture about upcoming models, old topics being repeated by new contributors)

A combination of all the above ? or something different altogether ?

Have we witnessed this forum's halcyon days ?

Does anyone care ?

I think everyone's over on the 'prospective GT3 owners thread', arguing with Apolo1 about something or other....

But I agree, it is a lot quieter than before the split.
I spend more time on Plumpers Monthly now.

Could be worse someone could be asking:

1. About to buy 996 or Boxster do all the engines fail?
2. Anyone bought a car from HWM?
3. What options should I add to my Cayenne Diesel?
4. etc etc etc

Most subjects been done to death. Plus interesting Porsches are becoming less accesible to the enthusiast who doesn't bank with Coutts or the BOC. Pity really, but suspect that partly explains the exodus. That and the charmless 'know it alls' on here nowadays...

I don't bother much nowadays, since the split. I just click on the main heading and skim through. Miss all the ads and stickies and probably a lot of newer posts.

It's win/lose. I don't waste so much time but I miss out on some threads, I guess.
