Just got to my local mot station to run the wife's qashqai through and this was sat looking all ready for Christmas.

Story is from the tester is that it's the garage owners Christmas present from his wife.

I'm thinking something American, what say you? Mustang maybe?

Looks too small. But looks too tail-finny to be a TR.

I'd guess at Sunbeam Alpine.

I'm going with a circa 1968 Sunbeam Alpine

It's hosted in Dropbox as can't do a pic upload from the mobile site. If you are at work perhaps it's blocked?

Definitely either a TR4 / 5 or Sunbeam Alpine

That's good. I was going to say Triumph Spitfire:

I can't decide if the car under the cover has rear fins or it's just the cover hanging on the rear lights.

Clue was when I said 'FROM his wife'.

Anyway, I got the tester to have a cheeky lift of the cover and took a few piccies.

I will reveal the winner when I get home and can upload the the pics

Looks like a mk4 alpine with smaller rear fins. The headlights look too outboard to be a tr4 etc

Early MGB? No passenger side mirror from the looks, but those fins look about right imo.

I think the rear overhang is too long for a B.

Edit - I'm going to guess at a Vitesse convertible

ok looking at the pic a little more... the rook profile seems to fit, and there's a bulge where the door handle is....
