I believe they were standard on most of the MK3s.
The factory were promoting them around that time and I don't believe they shifted them in large quantities to they ended up using them on the last of the Chimaeras.
Could be wrong.
500s had Estorils as standard but the Imolas were a no cost option as pointed out.The factory were promoting them around that time and I don't believe they shifted them in large quantities to they ended up using them on the last of the Chimaeras.

My car was originally delivered as part of a double order. Two Chimaera 500s for two business partners, ordered on the same day; both rosso pearl, differing in interior trim, silver/gold badges and estoril / imola wheels.
I think there was a lot more of "give the customer whatever they want" than "what's left in the bin?", than people give TVR credit for.
Not discounting that "what's left in the bin?" must have happened, especially in the latter part of a model run, or when nearing the final close down.

When I purchased my first Chimaera (1999 500) you got what you wanted.I think there was a lot more of "give the customer whatever they want" than "what's left in the bin?", than people give TVR credit for.

MK3s have a lot of different parts to the MK2s and for the better & you also got what you wanted. I have one and it a different car. Bins were also depleting for the MK3s @ 2002/3.
I hear the last production runs for the 500 engine were not all the same and in the end only the 450s were available.
The price is a bit too high but not that outrageous compared to some of the prices a certain dealer in the south manages to shift cars at. A haggle ought to get it to a more reasonable price Shirley.
Odd TVR never did a run out special edition of the Chimaera like the did with the Griffith. They probably ran out of parts before they thought about it.
