Hi all

Currently in the market for new discs and pads for the above. My local BMW dealer wants pretty much £1000 for this inc fitting and a brake fluid change which is due. The brake fluid change comes in at £60 so the bulk of the cost is the discs and pads and fitting.

I recall someone getting discs and pads all round for about £1000 all in?! Anyone any ideas where that was from-i'm based near Bath.

As a side note i called Eurocarparts and they only stock Zimmerman for the E60 M5-i've never heard of them but they are about £300 cheaper than BMW discs and pads-are they OEM quality?
Thanks

Is there a type in your post somewhere? I think £1K for genuine BMW pads and discs fitted front and rear is a pretty good price.

If you use this website it might get you a cheaper price:

http://www.maindealerdiscount.com

I used this to then negotiate with my local dealer, didn't get to the amount on here, but it did save a significant amount, I have just had front pads & discs with read pads for £1k.

I had my rear E60 M5 pads and disc's done using the discount through this site at Rybrook BMW. Think they cost me £465 last year. Nothing else came close in price.

Me too, I paid £1,200 + Vat for mine a few years ago.

Just saw it was for just the fronts. So, quite expensive.

Zimmerman, Textar and Pagid supply BMW I think; just different boxes.

I got quoted £1200 by Sandal Huddersfield all around including sensors.

Eurocarparts quoted me £688.50 + VAT including the sensors for Zimmerman and Texar with the sensors; though I do have a trade account with them.

Shop around, just because it is not BMW labelled doesn't mean it is inferior and let's face it; BMW's M cars have never been the best of brakes after a few hard laps, have they?
