Insurance and PDK

Insured my new Cayman today, explained it had a PDK gearbox which drew a blank from the operative. It's been noted on the file it's a PDK however I'm not convinced they really understand. How have others got on in this situation?

The model should be listed as an "automatic".

Yep, can get cheaper but cover not as good. Also noticed the engine cc was showing as 2678 rather than 2706 and called back. Premium reduced by £94 so for the morning I'm 17 quid down which I can live with. No idea how the algorithms calculate premiums but I can't see the relevance to real life risk here.
