So here's a thought for you more technically minded peeps out there .would it be possible to supercharge a 4.2 ajp engine

Have seen the 4.5 conversion and seems like hes had some good hp improvements.theres a you tube video of him spanking a ferrari enzo .how would you work around the 4.2 inlets and fuel rail?

I think the one on the Youtube is a Ls1 Supercharged not a AJP!

As you can see from Paul's picture he did have custom air box's made up that used 4.2 inlets. I guess best bet might be to go for 4.5 set up, or try and fabricate something from scratch, lots of hard works that's for sure.

Copied across from another thread,

Over here, Moritz Racing has engineered a supercharger conversion for the Cerb many moons ago - which frankly sounds much more like the way forward than tearing its heart out - for what exactly? A supercharged AJP will throw more power at the car than it can really handle if you're so inclined...

It is possible but not a cheap way to more power. I treated mine as a engineering project.
Just for starters....4.5 inlets, bigger fuel pump, new injectors different ecu, new airbox, The Supercharger and all associated brackets, modified front pulleys uprated breather system.
This has to be fitted to a good strong healthy engine so I would budget for a full rebuild as well

If its just more power then the 4.7 must be the best option. If you can do much of the work yourself and you want something different and even more powerful than a 4.7 then it is an option.

Keep it simple and don't go for stupid power and you'd be ok. I have some of paul's early 4.2 airbox conversion parts on a shelf that i was keeping in case anyone fancied the idea of superC/turbo.

That's a shame why did you abandon the project and what bits have you got left over. pictures would help.

Lost faith in the people doing it

Would need to dig the parts out to picture them I have a picture of the engine in the car somewhere

I have a p1 sc procharger with bracket to fit the ajp

inlet plenum which won't fit standard Cerbera as my heads were decked to get 5.5 litres

Exhaust manifolds

A very large fuel pump

Emerald Ecu

A billet crank custom made

And probably many other parts which I can't remember

If anyone's interested in the parts pm me if you like
