So according to eBay, because I last looked at a £110,000 mid-engine super car previously owned by Ayrton Senna, obviously I must be interested in a £750 CR-V or a £420 Civic!!

Noticed this as well. Annoyingly, they also email you. So I got one titled:

"Still interested in a Celica GT4 Black not Impreza etc"

No mad I looked at it purely out of interest on a thread. I'm not going to fking buy one, so fk off. mad

I think that Ebay actually store the data on their own servers, because when I've looked at stuff at home, and then gone to work and logged into Ebay at work, suddenly I get the same familiar suggestions, so it can't be cookies.

eBay is more astute than I gave it credit for.

eBay has profiled you and you've been run through a dreams/means algorithm.

It's less annoying than the blue rectangle obscuring the photos telling you how many people are viewing it per hour.

I find the serving suggestions at the bottom throw up some interesting stuff that I'd otherwise not have seen.

Judging by some of the adverts on eBay that HRV and Civic adverts look quite good. The vendors even managed to use photos of the cars they're selling in daylight.

I think most sites do this they keep every click/search on a server database so whenever you log in you get a 'personalised' web page.

It's that or they're on a backhander from the 'Yeah, F1 technology feeds down to road cars and benefits us all.....' crowd.

Surely eBay is just saying 'This CRV and Civic have F1 tech., look there's Senna with an NSX....

Next year the F1 cars will have four times as much torque. Don't road cars have that already? They're called diesels.

It's also less annoying than the advertising boxes that spring up based on a product you once looked at, six years ago. For example, I once bought the wife some of the mysterious underwear stuff women wear to bluff their way through life in, and now whenever I'm on certain sites with ad banners it comes up with ads for women's undercrackers whistle Which is a bit awkward to explain to the monster-in-law, for example. (yes, I realise no-one believes a word of this)

...I'm just dreading the day cookies recognise things like "Two Girls One Cup" and tailor your ad choices accordingly eek
