This was my first plan ,an as you go attempt , just got 2 straights and 2 curves leftover

Going to get hammered by the wife when she sees it all biggrin , but hey, its my office.

Just planning on how much of the old classic track I can utilise now .

First impressions of the digital set , cant believe how smooth the lane changes are , also glad I got a pit stop set , that's fun , and will be when the lads turn up on Christmas day .

Thanks to Russ for supplying me with a few bits smile

I have a pitstop on my digital set, but it got modified somewhere along the way. Now it acts like a fuel gauge, and the lights start to go out as you race. When the last light starts to flash, that's an indication that you have to pull in to the pit lane to fill up (re-set the lights). If you don't stop before the last light goes out, your car stops. I find that quite satisfying compared to how it works in standard mode.

You may find some cars will bottom out on the Classic track, I think the guide blades on the newer cars are a bit deeper.

Also best bit of track you can buy is a quarter straight, with that you can make the ends meet on all designs.

Its great fun, im tempted by digital but ive got to many cars now to get chipped up!

Another vote here for a selection of 1/4 and short straights as well as a few 1/2 size R2 curves and 8 or so R3 ones. Add in a 1/4 hairpin and you can make most things meet up without much stress. I love the R3's as I like to make variable radius curves so you can make it slow in, fast out or vice versa. Can also be fun to add in a sharp kink on long straights to make people have to lift a little.

thanks for the reminder on the small track pieces , wondered why I had a bundle of them in classic style.

Just a few tweeks to make use of every bit of sport track bar a single 1/2 straight.

Now know I want a left hand pit lane as well and a few more straights as I NEED the 4 lane straight as per Jadlams suggestions.

Also need a few ( lots ) of different curves to add some interest .

Plan is to play this over Christmas with son and son in law and then get it to our huge loft in the new year.
It will be easier to grow the track with smuggled pieces without wifey noticing biggrin

Ideally like to have at least a twin 12 straight main straight, only got 8 1/2 at present .

Nice work.

Braids - carpet weeping If you have a few old classic straights, please put them to good use.

Sounds great, would love to know how to change it over to this!

You do actually have to stop too. Pressing the 'brake' button on the controller while you are stopped fills the tank and slowly resets all the lights. Great fun.

You can get the Pit Game upgraded to Pit-Pro.

There's a link to it on this site

http://www.pclapcounter.be/pit-pro.html

In addition to working on it's own SSDC, RCS64 and PC Lapcounter all work with it as well, to add even more functionality.

This also looks interesting, although not sure when it will be released

Something to watch maybe.

Went into Norwich today to get a few things and dropped into the Toymaster as usual.

Big mistake.

£175 down from previous £319.

Even the Mrs said at £40 per car and chip it was a no brainer. biggrin
