anyone on PH use this for their business? I know each use is different, but are blatant weaknesses or strengths?

Have analysed it a couple of times, and both those looked expensive.

We've just had it installed at work within the last 2-3 weeks and are extremely happy with it.
If it is deemed as expensive, I am surprised, as it will cut our phone bills by about 70% which is a lot of money.
The phone system is extremely good/modern and makes our old system look like cups on strings.
Call quality seems decent
The only downside we have discovered so far (and came as a surprise) is that when you dial a number it takes the same amount of time as a mobile to connect so there is a delay of a few seconds after dialing. Annoying and perhaps a problem if you are in a pressurised sales environment but not a problem for normal use.

We are looking at the cost, but we don't have a large landline to mobile cost but having a brand new system, integrated with mobile comms, is highly attractive.

It will aid remote workers for sure

Right - that's the side of the system that is less relevant to us, but the system seems to be infinitely bespokable so it should do whatever you want and seems perfect for what you are suggesting. Its like your desk phone and mobile are one and the same.

We are trying it at one of our shops in Hove and aren't to pleased so far

If one number is assigned to multiple devices (both mobile and desk phone) only the phone which accepted the call will not show a missed call. Therefore you get lets of (supposed) missed calls on all devices

Transferring calls is a nightmare, normally you would hit transfer > dial extensions > put down the phone and the call is transferred

With one net you have to dial a silly combination code and then the number

The reception is poor quality - for us, appreciate this may not be the case for all. Shop is in central Hove

Account Management / Customer service is also very poor.

Your system must be different to our because we do exactly what you said in the first example. Transfer > dial extension > put the phone down

Ive found the opposite to this. I don't see how reception can be poor because it's going via broadband directly to the masts therefore reception should not be relevant?
Account management/Customer services has been excellent for us.

Interesting differences we have found

Indeed, i'm keen to get it working as I signed it off and look a right Charlie

Our phones have sim cards in and don't go via broadband

Eek. One of us is talking about the wrong thing here I think.
Im talking about the V'fone ONENET fixed landline/paired mobile combination system combining the VOIP system with the mobile system.
Are you just talking about mobiles?

Nope we have one net express, you probably have business or enterprise (i'd be interested to know which?)

Both mobiles and desk phones have a paired sim card. Entry level system so I might see if we can upgrade to the VoIP one

Does anyone currently use this? What is everyone's opinion on this service. It looks very handy and is advertised at £10 pcm.

I agree, I work for a telecoms reseller (as a contractor so no allegiance!) and the Gamma Horizon solution is very good. I don't get involved in the selling but functionally it's very neat and yes you normally get the handset free and everything is subscription based. All goes out over the internet to Gamma's cloud service and is scalable.

I should have mentioned we are a very small limited company with only 2 users, so not looking to engage in anything to overly complicated. Simply wanted to get a landline number to give people the option and added confidence. In reality I will not be making many/any outgoing calls as I am always from place to place for work within central London.

Ah, look how glowing I was up there about my darlings Vodafone.
3.5 years on and I think they are colossal s.
At the time I think I was just overwhelmed by the huge savings over a non-voip phone when I posted the above.
I actually hate them and the contract I signed was an absolute fking horror. I have re-visited the contract to find out why I would have possibly agreed to such horrendous stuff and the whole process was a complete con and the contract deliberately misleading.
DO not, under any circumstances, take out a contract with Vodafone without looking around

It seems that the whole company has really dropped the ball recently with their customer service etc. I know of at least 3 people that have had major problems with them taking money they shouldn't have and black marks on credit records etc. etc.

They were recently fined a decent amount of money by OFCOM.

Vodafone have the highest percentage by far to ofcom complaints, personally I use this service and just been shafted £450 for 90mb of data at Dubai airport, apparently used to be in rest of world zone for package, but since September no longer.
Customer service is dire, one net contract finishes May and I'm off.

@tescorank I "nearly" had the same problem. Luckily when I upgraded to an iP7 the numpty in store deleted all of my add-on packages and when I went to reapply before travelling to UAE then lady piped up and informed me it was no longer included. A shame they as value-wise they have gone down-hill slightly.

It's not like Dubai is not in the rest of the world and as the largest hub for flying business they must be scalping lots of people.

www.resolver.com is the website for dealing with them or any large organistation, because they eventually take you to the top of vodafone.
