Afternoon all!

This may sound odd, but I start in my new position in the new year and will be needing a new car soon anyway but can't face driving an ecobox anymore! (Currently in a 153,000 mile Grande Punto........)

Got about 8k to spend. Just interested to see what you guys drive in similar positions I.e. Mix of town driving during the day with a nice a road blast on the way to/ from work?

Look forward to hearing any responses!

I did wonder that and had a e46 330ci not too long ago which was nice just a little dull!

Only problem is for a bit more 335i's start to crop up........... Too tempting!

Something with very large pedals to accommodate very long pointy shoes, and plenty of head room for overly gelled hair.

Cooper s is a good shout I've just never been blown away by their performance, although a different pulley and a remap may help that!

Very good wondered how long that would take!

Brought a smile to my face nonetheless!

When you say town driving, does that mean you fancy an auto?

Golf GTI Mk.5 with a DSG would be a good choice if so, otherwise I'd go for something like a Mini Cooper S JCW. It might lull others into thinking it's a normal estate-agent spec car. tongue out

You'll probably need a large estate to carry around the shame you've brought upon your family by being an estate agent.

If fun is what you are after! Massive spec for a very good price. They do occasionally pop up in the UK for sale but very very rare indeed.

Didn't know they did an SRT version of those!

Although for me they're still hurl inducing!

My problem is that I've never seen an estate agent in anything other than a 5 door......

They are very much like marmite, you either like it or you don't. I have a coupe & it receives nothing but possitive comments & super reliable.

Sounds like it's important for work, so focus on reliable rather than performance, and something comfortable, as for the first few weeks after the moralectomy you'll be sensitive.
