Would you get the rear P painted prior to sale in C2S advert

Hi,
Looking for a bit of advice - I will be putting my C2S up for sale in early January, the car is in nice condition with full Porsche service history however the rear PU is very slightly damaged (car park) & the front has the normal stone chips. The question would you get them painted or leave making an allowance for such work?
The benefit leaving them as i see it is the prospective buyer can see the damage is cosmetic as opposed to explaining why front and rear is not as a result of accident damage!

Your views would be appreciated

Unless you have a crystal ball there is no right answer to this (assuming it's as minor as you say). Some buyers would prefer to see it "as is" and either leave it or get it done themselves, some will prefer that it's all done and the car's looking its best.....and some will claim to be in the first group but actually fall in to the second (i.e. if 1 of 2 identical cars needed the work and the other had had it done, they'd choose the one that's done).

Get it fixed - you'll only put off some buyers and give others more bargaining points.

I think I'd agree with getting it done. It might be worth taking photos before, after and if the bodyshop's up for it - during.

The difficulty is that even if you get it done so well it's perfect, it'll look too perfect for a used car. So it would be good to be able to evidence exactly what was done, why and by whom.

If someone is buying a Porsche they will expect quality and may well think "if they cant be bothered to look after the cosmetics - what have they done about other maintenance???"

...............Unless you are REALLY prepared to offer a big no brainer discount for the damage?

Very funny, someone else asked this question recently (last couple of months) and was told to leave it, buyers would think you were hiding something if it had fresh paint...

All the OPCs and most indies just paint the front of every car before sale, so anything bought second hand recently would have had a nose job.

As said above, by not doing it you are giving buyers something to knock you down with, although it is always a shame to make something perfect for the next owner and not had it that way for yourself.

painted ..if you can get it done to a high standard , if youre planning on a back street blow over then leave it so the new owner can get it done right
