Tertre Rouge safety upgrade

ACO has announced a safety upgrade at Tertre Rouge.. One driver has been asking if the trees are gone... Lowdrag have you been past there recently Are the trees still there or are there any other signs of work?

I think they have to leave the trees dont they? Im sure they will just install some decent tyre barriers where the accident was, that would have been enough to stop Allans death apparently.

Were still thee in October when we drove past.

Another thing that could be improved on all circuits is the use of non slip surface paint on the corner rumble strips, one of the reasons the Aston broke sharp left was a wheel loosing traction at the end of the corner running wide onto the rumble strips and painted markings.

Yeah, maybe a shell grip of some kind might do the trick. Problem I'd see with that though would be drivers might use it for a quicker exit at corners, and in turn being just as dangerous. Maybe shell gripping that whole area would be better.

I'd say tyre walls would be the best bet though. As deep as possible too

It is shame it took something so tragic to highlight what was actually quite an obvious issue if someone it that Armco.

The tec-pro would be good or plenty of tyres. Probably no need to get rid of the trees.
