The battery went flat on my tamora, I've now managed to get in recharged but now it won't start. The alarm seems to arm and dia arm ok and the dash goes though the diag run, but after that there is no more action. I've even tried putting the fob in the slot ( never had to do that in the past though) and nothing happens . Is the light above the fob hole supposed to go out.?

I think it may be to do with the immobiliser , any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like the immobiliser needs a re-set. I will email you how.

Passenger footwell under the carpet you will find a fuseable link. detach one of the cables on the link and leave for a minute or so, re-connect and that should be it sorted.

Just out of interest, is there a Tampora out there that doesn't have a flat battery?

Mine's safely tucked up in the garage with its life support plugged in. Buying a battery conditioner was one of the first things I did when I got my second Tamora - experience..... hehe

It's only happened to me once, because I had to leave it parked at work for a few very wet days, and rain had gone in through the bonnet release cable grommet which trickled onto the fuse box causing the typical dash wont turn off problem and the battery to go flat (found leak source thanks to a post on here). It's now leak proof so no problem!
I have no need for a battery conditioner because the car goes out regularly. But I bought a heavy duty car starter battery to keep at home in case it happens (about £120 from machine mart).
