So how about a thread of pics and recipes of Xmas cooking?

I've just finished a honey glazed gammon with cloves and home made cranberry sauce.

I'll post pics when it's cooled.

Cheers
Mike

My first attempt at a beef wellington

There wasn't much left and the condiments were untouched so it must have been ok!

last night, so seafood (too much central europe in my family...) - sweet cure Yukon salmon served over braised daikon and dashi reduction with grated ginger. Followed by portuguese fish stew with grouper, shrimp, scallops and clams.

the duck is getting ready to go in smile

We had Christmas dinner on Boxing day. Just finished. Cooked way too much as usual, and I have managed to give SWMBO my man germs just in time so she can't taste my cooking. Tom Kerridge is my new chef hero - his turkey roll and glazed carrot recipes are real winners.

Did you cook the carrots the day before, leave to marinade overnight then re-heat or just cook them?

I really want to try them but the wife thinks that much butter & sugar is a heart attack! (Plus I don't have any star anise)

I just cooked them, recipe didn't say anything about marinading. It does seem an unfeasibly large amount of butter and sugar when you see it in the pan laugh

Looks very yummy. No greens in sight either.
