Suits for powerfully built PHers.
Attempted searching for a suit this week. Next and M&S. My chest isn't that big, but I had to go for the largest on the rail for the arms to fit, but I still couldn't really move properly, it was too restrictive, and that was at the 'normal' cut, forget 'tailored', 'slim' or the ultra fitted one whatever it is called.
And the waist bit billows like a tent in a gale at that size. Arms/shoulders too big for chest, chest too big for waist.
For the PB PHers out there who wear suits, where do you go, my current budget is not exhaustive. I would not wish to spend over £200. We're talking Warrington/Manchester here. Does anyone purchase bespoke suits, tailored?

Thanks for the ideas. Both will be on my to look at list. Matalan is in Warrington so I can pop in anytime, Slaters will have to be a visit to the big smoke.
This is not for rolling around on the floor, I want a fitted look. The trouble with the bigger chest sizes is that they look like tents if you have a slim waist.
I looked at bespoke...er, no, not yet at any rate.
Looks like I shall have to find a jacket that fits the arms/shoulders and then have somebody take in the waist/chest?

Might want to be mindful that alterations only work so far & beyond that possibly look and work less than well.
Having the same issues at the moment, it would seem, even though I'm supposedly now normal sized. Waist and upper don't match - eek considering where I used to be. That's as a supposed normal (ish) size.
Having said that, if you can't fit in M&S regular, you're not 'normal'.

This is becoming a real problem for many of us 
The current fashion in menswear is the 'skinny' look, which in practice appears to mean that the clothes are designed to fit anorexic teenagers. I am neither, so am finding it increasingly difficult to find smart, comfortable gear.
Thank goodness there is still M&S.

Absolutely. I am slim but have powerfully built director legs from running/gym. Whilst the top half of a slim fit suit fits me fine the trousers make me look like some kind if emo kid. It's a lost art that people walk about in ill fitting clothes - sometimes they might need to go a size down or have things altered by a tailor which
can make all the difference. That doesn't mean one needs to go down the boy band skinny look.
LOL'd at the standard big bro comment above questioning if Bradley Cooper lifts, I'm sure if you've seen the dude in some films he is pretty well
built with just the right amount of fat to muscle ratio. If you have this type of 'Hollywood build' like the Ryan Reynolds etc, with the right fitted
clothes you only give a hint of your athletic figure without looking like a gorilla.
