Paul

I don't think you can fit a rear towing eye due to the way the rear clam opens.

Any car I've seen on track uses a towing strap attached to the chassis member at the rear.

Cheers Paul we were looking at the rear off the car trying to work out a way to do it as the wife won't watch me onto the trailor

Why not winch it on forwards?

Hi tony good question . Iff I put car on forward I can't get the weight over the axels off my ifor tilt bed trailor and its not a nice ride towing it behind motor home . I have same issue with the noble has to go on backwards also

The build manual has photos of a rear tow eye. Have to say it does not look anywhere near as sound as the front one.
For this application I would just pass a webbing strap around a chassis rail and attach that to the winch hook.

Hi Guys, for an alternative solution to fitting a rear towing eye, take a look at mine on www.trevorwillardracing.co.uk select 'TWR GTR 2010' from the menu, page down twice for the pics and detail. The eye is fitted to the underside of the chassis and does not foul with the rear clip, in fact it helps when removing/refitting the rear clip because you can rest the clip on the eye! No extra holes in the chassis, as we used the gearbox brace mount. Hope this helps.

hi Trevor, very interesting looking at your pictures compared to mine as a lot of similar bits..

matter of interest have you checked those headers and how they match to the head ports?

if not I suggest you take one off and do some measuring ...

Hi Dom, sorry for the delay in responding. You have mentioned this before and you're right, the headers could probably do with a little fettling. However, they are are right b*stard to get off, due to having previously installed aircraft spec steel thread inserts in the heads, so it'll have to wait until the next time they have to come off? Don't worry, I've not forgotten. Cheers.
