So, if you were buying a second hand Porsche (special edition) that had originally been sold with a Porsche design briefcase full of Porsche design goodies (chrono watch, sunglasses, pen, keyring and penknife) and that case (and its contents) were completely unwrapped and unused when you bought car (there' still a blue sticker over the case label!), would you keep everything exactly as it was so that it could sold with the car when you moved it on, or would you just open the lot up and enjoy having the stuff? The car is immaculate and around 6 years old.

Your thoughts and opinions would be welcomed. I mean, is it really going to help hold up the value or am I kidding myself? I love watches too!!!

Definitely this. Can't imagine it will affect resale value (did you pay more for the car because of this?) and even if it did, why be hung up on future value when depreciation and running costs make pretty much any car (classics excepted) a rubbish financial investment. Open it. Use it. Enjoy it.

Is this for a carrera GT? Doesnt sound like the items are unique to the car so use or sell the stuff. No real point in storing as was probably a gift from the dealer.

Assume for Design edition Cayman. If car was ultra rare and rocketing in price, then answer is no.......but assu g it's not, then just use them and enjoy

My carrera gt came with everything .
The model engine , video tape (!!!!) , all early customer books etc
Full baggage kit ,briefcase , extra cushions you name it .

I use them all ( especially the bags they are great ) . Use them but keep them with the car , don't lose them etc and you will be fine .
Sounds like the car came from a great owner though , good luck and enjoy in good health .

IMHO most of this branded car gear is unbelievably naff and I wouldn't be seen dead in it. The only useful thing would be custom sized luggage that fits the boot exactly so that should be sold with the car. The rest could be kept by the previous owner or preferably crushed or burnt
