Just drove the 4l stype I asked about on a previous thread. What a lovely thing.
The car is supposed to be for my brother but I want it for myself now. Bit lively in this weather too

This. I had an XJ 4.2V8 when what I really wanted was an XJR. Had a few problems with the XJ8 , used it as an excuse to swap it for an XJR 6 months later. The non supercharged V8 just felt a bit underpowered.... to me anyway !

I got rid of my R a month ago.
Nothing serious went wrong with it in the year i owned it for, partly because i bought so badly initially that there was nothing left to go wrong! laugh
But in all honesty, i seriously miss it, in so many ways it was the perfect 1 car garage.

Decided against the car in the end. The years tax ended was for a disabled driver so would have to pay for it.also the has a bit too much wear on the drivers seat. And I'm sure I felt a clonk when the the box was changing down.shame really because it drove well
