Hey all , just need a bit of advice, we have a brother and sister pair of rescue mogs. Thing is i reckon the female has just become horny and with the gesturing etc it looks and sounds like she is after a good seeing to. her brother is a bit of an idiot but the most lovable thing. he hasnt worked out that his sister wants rodgering thank christ. They are both booked in for balls off and tubes done on the 6th of jan. what would happen in the mean time if he got to his sister and figured out what his dick was for. would it be "dealt with at neutoring" dont want my kitties having kitties !! bit worrying really.

what would happen...... they girl would get pregnant......

theres not much you can do except keep them in different rooms at night when they are not in your sight line so you can stop him...

but i spect they both will not like that at all if they are brother and sister and close.

Thanks that was what i was thinking, what i meant by what would happen was that if we turned up with her to be neutered could the vet do anything about it .

If If they're being neutered in 2 weeks time won't be much of an issue, if it was much after that the vet might need to go midline rather than flank but you can neuter a cat pretty much up to term without too many problems.

Brother and sister will mate with each other, animals don't see it like we do,
If they are being done next month then just let them carry on as they are. A few weeks won't make any difference.

We had a cat that we took in just before Christmas. She was a tortoiseshell and white kitten that one of the neighbours had found. Nobody claimed her so we took her in. We had an older, neutered, ginger tom. She came into season during the Christmas holidays and started presenting herself to him and making noises. He didn't have a clue what to do with it any more so his response was to tt her.

We managed to keep her in but she wasn't pleased about it. We had the family round on boxing day and she managed to escape. We heard a bang and saw her climbing over the fence. My mum ran out and grabbed her, just as a big ginger stray tom cat jumped over the fence.

We got her into the vets in the new year to be spayed. The vet told us she was pregnant but they were terminated when they spayed her.

Had the same problem with Moglet & Millie. He worked out what else he could do with his willie other than lick it and pee through it and tried to kick Millie's back doors in. Tried to keep them apart until I could get the pipe work mods done as best as possible. Our vet said it should be OK because whilst he had a horn-on Millie was still too young to get preggers.

Heh. We took in a kitten that got frisky before we had had the chance to get her done. Our old boy Oscar (13) who was done many years ago couldn't believe his luck. He had a good old go before giving up.

Just so you know, they won't tie her tubes (well not in the UK) it's a full ovariohysterectomy, meaning the ovaries, tubes and uterus are removed.
