Not sure if this is a health question or a books question.

In describing Sherlock Holmes' character traits, did Conan Doyle manage to anticipate the diagnostic criteria for Asperger Syndrome?

I didn't think he seemed that aspie in the books.

I've read somewhere that certain aspects of Holmes was based on someone Conan-Doyle knew.
