Hello everyone,

My car history, is in fact pretty low in the number of cars owned I'm afraid.

My first car was a lovely 03 1.2 Renault Clio which did the job and never put a foot wrong since buying her in 2007.

Obviously this car was very very slow and boring - Driving friends z4's and 911s and then stepping back into the Clio after was always a bit depressing.

Sadly she was killed last year when a lorry decided to merge into me pushing me along sideways in the process - kind of like that YouTube video (very scary but managed to handbrake my way to safety).

So carless it was now time to buy new car and something fun so I chose an Abarth 595 Turismo:

I wanted an Abarth since when they first came out but was never in a position to get one however new job and higher earnings helped make the dream a reality.

I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea but to me they have a real soul and something about them I can't quite put my finger on - driving is so much fun in these and actually having power to overtake is a blessing.

Very much enjoying the turbo whine and the pops and bangs from the exhaust with more spirited driving.

I don't think anything else at this price range (new) could put a smile on my face like the Abarth can.

Anyway that's it (told you it was a short history).

Better ways to spend 30K IMO. But your money and your car OP. They do look very good. Got 3 stars in the January Evo, best at 8/10ths apparently. Would be great but I can't get over the price.

Oh this isn't the £30k 50th anniversary model (would of bought something else if I could of stretched to that much) Just the standard 160bhp turismo at just under £18k base.
