To Warranty or not to Warranty?

Any opinions welcomed:

I've just picked up my first 997 (a 2007 C2S, 48k miles) which I got from a reputable but non specialist dealer. I've been offered Auto Protect MBI Premier Plus extended Warranty at approximately £750 per year.

My head tells me I should take something out but Internet reviews are mixed for AutomProtect).

Any thoughs or guidance?

Porsche warranty or nowt in my opinion.

Tend to side with this; but do put your warranty money away seperately for when you do need to fix stuff unless your disposable income is such that you can easily cover things.

Thanks all - appreciate the advice. I have just come from the world of TVR ownership where I kept a slush fund for emergencies and think I will do the same here.

The slush fund route is the one I have elected to take for the last 4 years also. So far its worked out considerably less than if I'd taken out an OPC warranty, and also allows me to fit non porsche parts.
