Anyone else planning a brief (or extensive) hoon today?

It's easily the best day of the year to take advantage of your local B roads. biggrin

Me and my 77 year old father meet at my mum's care home then swap cars and drive back across Dorset. He gets my Focus RS, I get his 3 litre diesel XF.

Sorry, should have said ex-rally driver 77 year old father. wink

A short drive to my parent's house this afternoon for lunch and then back, not really worth "hooning" a Ford Focus, but I'd imagine average speed across the journey will be higher than normal, with the lack of traffic and all.

The cover is off the TVR but have to wait for the kids to wake up and open presents before i head out for the nice quiet roads. Best part of christmas.

I'll be driving from my partner's parents' house to see my parents. 20 odd miles of winding country roads.

Not today, bit hung over and not really fit to drive! I did take a quick spin yesterday and the roads were pretty good, quiet enough for plenty of overtaking opportunities!

Will definitely also be going out tomorrow morning first thing as well!

May well find myself slinking off for an hour later this afternoon though if it's dry!

Bit too damp for a hoon.

I might have done a schoolboy error because I can't remember how much fuel is in the TVR....

If it's got fuel, I'm out.

If it hasn't, I'll be talking to the mother in law. frown

Anyone else do one?

I got up at 7am and head out on a recommended 100mile route I found on Pistonheads

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Potters+Bar,+...

Have to say, it was bl@@dy awesome!

I took the anti clockwise route an once I was past Bishops Stratford, it was fantastic!!

Really enjoyed it, and the roads were empty!

It was pretty wet on the ground, lots of standing water, son roads shut due to flooding ... Made for some sideways action in places, particularly the hairpin bends, but great fun and kept you on your toes

Car needs a wah now...I'll do that, then play with my PS4 I just opened for Xmas ... Who said we're not just big kids!!

Not sure where this empty roads on Christmas Day myth comes from but it's certainly never been the case across the M62, M6, M56 and A55 to Anglesey where my folks live. Just full of the usual plebs sat in lanes 2 and 3 doing 65-70 and refusing to get out of the way. mad

Took the long way to my parents. Very ice here though, no TC or ABS or anything keeps you on edge smile

Last year it was over lunch that had the quietest roads!

Would love too but don't fancy getting salt all over my beloved M3 CS and I did spend £130 on a valet the other week.
