Ex-Porsche Demonstrator 997.2 GT3 for Sale

Just noticed the ex-demonstrator (Riviera Blue, 997.2 GT3 CS) is up for sale OPC. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on it. Absolutely beautiful colour and good spec (PCCBs, dynamic engine mounts, cage, lightweight buckets, although no front lift).

However at 88k quite a steep price for the miles (17k). What would be everyone's view on purchasing an ex-demonstrator? Can think of two conflicting arguments:

a) Demonstrator likely to have been thrashed round tracks and country roads by journos not treating the car in the same way they would their own;
b) Demonstrator likely to have been maintained as well as any other car by Porsche regardless of expense over the last few years to provide a good examples to journos and other clients.

Quite possibly the best spec you could ask for.
Has the provenance of the Porsche press car.
Price is spot on, I would of thought £89995 would be acceptable.
Someone will get a great car and won't go wrong on it.
If in doubt, buy it.....

Defo overpriced imo and does not include front lift which may be an important omission from the spec sheet depending on where you live.

A lovely car but too expensive. Also as it will have been driven hard by all and sundry what about rev ranges? I doubt in 17k miles from all the journos etc it can't have had one missed change even by all those driving gods.....

This car is already a legend and would be a very smart purchase.

As for it having been screwed, I bet its in fine fettle. Its been driven hard by people who know what they are doing and are unlikely to have made hamfisted gear change mistakes.

Porsche will be warranting it anyway I suppose.

All of the silverstone experience cars go through the OPC network, having been driven by a million oafs.

I know which I would rather have!

17k on a mezger? She's barely run in.

Even if the car has been driven hard, the ceramics are the only weak spot, if they have been replaced then jobs a good un.

This.

They know very well that these cars are going to be ragged by journalists and there is nothing worse for the manufacturer than it going wrong on the next journalist to have it, so as you say absolutely no expense is spared in keeping press cars like new.

Unique provenance, unique colour? Can't be too many GT3s in this colour scheme. Does anyone know how many are out there?

Will be intresting to see how long it takes to sell. This unique colour what every body says they love usually takes ages to sell, the last two certainly did.
Plus i think there is a 7.1 thats still for sale and has been for most of this year.
