From clouded memory, all petrol ok. deisel ok if not commercial.

As far as I know, it has to have been a station wagon from the factory, Also there is an issue that it has to be as estate or station wagon on the v5 and DVLA are pretty resistant to changing it if it isn't

Must be a SW from the factory and listed as an Estate on the V5.

A commercial, despite being exactly the same, is not permitted.

All Petrol's OK.

Or apply direct to TfL for exemption, providing proof of modification and a signed statement.
Mate of mine did I with his ex-BT 90. Not a rapid process but nor was it difficult.
