This caught my eye a while back - being a mental health nurse I have plenty of friends on facebook who are similarly employed and like to post bits and pieces like this. It's always good to see anything that encourages people to think a bit but I fear mental illness is destined to be misunderstood and generally overlooked for the foreseeable future.

I'm doubly fooked as I suffer from severe depression, anxiety, OCD, and paranoia and also have anky spon so my spine is rapidly crumbling away. Two illnesses that are invisible. I tell people I meet about my back but NEVER mention my mental health issues. Just can't cope with the 'pull yourself together' merchants.

If only it was that simple I wouldn't spend hours every day stressing/panicing about everything from the postman to members of my family dying.
