Lots on the news about flooding of the River Wey in Surrey, is Brooklands Museum ok? Do we need to mobilise the PH masses and go help?
The BBC are saying there's flooding at Wey Meadows.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25517504
That's only about half a mile north of MB World.

Message on the museum website:
Flooding update - 26th December 1pm
Brooklands Museum has experienced flooding overnight and as a result we are delaying our reopening after Christmas until at least Monday 30th December. At this stage we hope to be open in at least a limited way from then on, including for New Year’s Day, but we ask intending visitors to check this website for updates. Our switchboard is not working but we can handle essential calls on 01932 855465.

There's a bit on R4 news at the moment about the housing estate - roads are flooded, houses are dry. But I guess they're higher than the museum...http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25517504

Fingers crossed it's not too bad.
Brooklands Museum was affected by the flooding and we have had a dedicated team of staff and volunteers in over the Christmas period and the clearing up process will continue into the weekend. The plan is that we will open again to the public on Monday 30th December (CLOSED this coming Saturday and Sunday) with a reduced entry fee. We will have a temporary catering facility and most areas, aircraft, the Hangar and Concorde will be up and running. We have had a tremendous response from the public and we are thankful to everyone who has sent us their good wishes. If anyone would like to show their support, the best thing that you could do is to come along to the New Year's Day Gathering on 1st January as we have a record attendance to smash! In all cases, please see the main website (www.brooklandsmuseum.com) for the latest news on opening times, parking and event information. Thank you once again.
