Went out for a drive today in our SLK55 AMG... I love driving it... that wall of torque as you accelerate through the gears... small car, big engine, nice combination.

It got me thinking, are there any other small cars out there with V8 engines?

Plenty of you mean second-hand. V8s are going out of fashion these days, though. frown

There aren't enough. Old TVRs are really where it's at

Classic wise, an R107 SL500 does the business. Save the Z8 BMW have failed to get involved which disappoints me, a Z3 with a 4.4 V8 in the front (or even the E39M5s 5.0) would be epic.

Can't beat a V8

Land Rover 90, I bet it's one of the smalles (footprint) v8's ever made. Original TVR Griffith excepted!

There's quite a few RX-7's that have been converted to V8s once the novelty wore off a rotary engine.

There aren't going to be many cars built with a V8 as standard, especially small ones if you're going to define them as a super mini.

An M3 is not a big car by any stretch of the imagination.

Not big for nowadays I'll grant you but hardly small. And it's a Lardy thing!

E92 M3

E34 M5
